Vanuatu Game Fishing
The Game Fishing

Vanuatu is a world renowned Blue Marlin Fishery with a great range of other game fish also available.

The fishing is great by most standards all year with Marlin caught every month of the year.

June- November (22-28 Degrees)
Port Vila is situated 17 Degrees South of the Equator and receives the South East trade winds in the “winter”. Average sea conditions this time of year would include 15-20 knot winds with moderate seas.

This time of year is renowned for Blue Marlin, (Black and Striped Marlin with limited numbers being caught), Mahi Mahi, Yellow Fin Tuna and Wahoo. ( October & November often see very good runs of Blue Marlin leading up to the full moon)

December-February (25-33 Degrees)
Known for Marlin and Yellow Fin although this time of year is generally hot and humid sometimes the fishing is outstanding in often very calm conditions. This time of year is off peak (tourist wise) and some great deals can be had on the fishing and on accommodation.

March- May (22-30 Degrees)
The start of our Season with all species being caught. Generally good fishing is available with good weather of the at this time with the Erromango Seamounts often being accessible with outstanding wahoo and marlin fishing.

You might note that we don’t promise great fishing for sail fish or short billed spearfish. We catch quite a few every year but not with sufficient reliability to include them in our seasonal availability information.

We do promise to give realistic and genuine information about Vanuatu’s fishery and the the conditions you can expect.

We do promise to provide a high quality vessel, equipment and service.
